If a couple with a child/children are cohabiting are they both entitled to their own sw payment or does one have to go on their partners payment as a qualified adult?

It depends on the SW payment?
If its a benefit payment that both qualify for, they can both claim in their own right.
Allowance is means tested, both can claim, but would only get the family rate between them.
But that is a very broad and vague answer, everyone's circumstances are different.
