A little help with online order

Sorry to be bothering ye all with a few very basic questions but I'd really appreciate a bit of help!

I'm a student who cycles and have let my bike (a 2006 Giant Rock MTB) get into a bit of disrepair lately. I was going to order a few bits and pieces from CRC or Wiggle to spruce it up a bit but just wanted to check a thing or two first.

I'm looking to get a new front wheel (probably a factory one, save on the building!) and was wondering what sort to get? Does it have to be a MTB wheel? Also was going to pick up a new set of pedals and some brake pads, is it a case that I could fit any or will only some fit etc?

Again, sorry about the basic noob type questions!

Disc or vee brake??.You will need a disc or non disc mtb wheel depending.Try merlin cycles-they often have clearance wheels. They charge for delivery but might still be cheaper.

Pedals are standard on almost all adult bikes-Any should do.
Have to see you brakes to advise-lbs might be the best bet for pads-if you have the bike with you then you definately will get the right ones.

Sorry, meant to say that they were V brakes! Knew I'd forgotten something.

Will snap a pic of the brakes tomorrow.
