im just curious to how much everyone is paying to have turf cut on their own bogs.
the guy that cuts mine charges by the yard at 5.00 euros per yard.
a lot of contractors usually charge by the hopper so which works best?
the guy dosnt mix the turf with the digger before he fills the hopper which dosnt help things because it starts to break up after footing it.

I have a question related to this.
How much would it cost to have 130 yards in length and 6 - 8 sods wide cut?
    It's not hopper turf though.

IT varies alot but you can get it cut at €15 a hopper in your own bog and buy it off this guy at €35 a hopper ready to turn, and its top quality stuff..

€5 a yard sounds costly for it..
