Hi, Anyone any suggestions on where one could get a economical dental hygienist now PRSI is cut. Is the north an option? I would normally ear the green jersey but times are tough!

PRSI still covers the yearly exam so only the cleaning to pay.....around 50 euro, not really worth taking a day off work and petrol to go up north, its cost the same up there.

Call your dentist and ask them to get approval for the treatment. As long as it's approved before the new year, you can get the cleaning done for free within 2 or 3 months. not too sure on the timescale, but they should know.
