    Hi,

What's the url of that free website that gives you a few bits backround information based on the registration plate?
On the website it used to be a traffic light telling you what status the car is, it's not cartell it's a free one and it also tells you if it was a taxi/hackney or if it has been written off,

    cheers,

    Kevin

Run a reg it wont give you any information then put in another reg and it gives you the full report. I just done it. It must be a glitch.

It is not accurate though. My wifes car was in two crashes(Not bad and not her fault) Work carried out in garages(Dealers) and its not listed.

However a mechanic should spot this.

Its the finance aspect I would be worried about.

Unless the car was written off, how would you expect the site to know about that?

    Won't last long, but thanks!

My car's tax and NCT are both up to date, nice to see revenue screwed up the naming of it though.

Hopefully no one says anything about it.

I wouldn't mind if they brought in a charge of 50c maybe, but 7 euro is very excessive for information that is so brief and occasionally inaccurate.

When they are now charging for this info, would they be liable if the info was later found to have been wrong as it seems to be fairly often with mywheels.ie

I do not believe they ever intended to be free forever. If they did they should have forseeen the problems they claim make the need registration.

Their info was wrong on my car and on several others i know of. I won't be registering. Think it was a scam
