Unsure of what to do...

Hi everyone. Would be great if I could get a few opinions on this as I am really confused over this and what the best course of action is. Ok, to cut a long story short, this girl that I met back in August really liked me and I really liked her back. But she stopped texting me around Halloween time. There has been the odd text here and there since then, but every time I try and get a conversation going she never responds back. I asked her a few times was everything ok and why she suddenly slowed down on me. But she has never given me a direct answer. When it comes to dating or relationships, I would be the first to say I am fairly inexperianced what happened really hurt me as I really liked her.

She text me the other day saying if I was going to be in town over the week. I said probably Tuesday. So she wants me to met her in town that day. The thing is, I don't know whether I should go or not, part of me wants to go, but I don't want my feelings for her to be even more messed up. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry to hear that dude. It's crap when you're into a girl and being messed around. I think I'd cancel on her to be honest. I know you like this girl but the way she wasn't responding to texts sort of set alarm bells off when I read that.

Tell her something has come up (have a solid story made up in-case she enquires) and don't bother meeting her.

I'd even go as far as just texting her to tell her that and once she knows the plans are off, you've no need or obligation to text any further.

There's plenty of girls out there, just put her out of your mind and go after someone else :)

What do you have to lose when you meet her? it would be a great chance to talk face to face and get some xmas shopping done. Just don't put your hopes high regarding this girl.

+1 Grandmaster is bang on here.

And OP, she clearly wasn't interested at the start. I'm thinking its the whole Christmas vibe where she doesn't want to be alone thus why shes only showing interest now.

Sorry bout the late response guys, was at work all day! Thanks for the replys, guess i just needed reassurance in myself as to what course of action I should take. Can I just say that I do believe she liked me (just the things she said to me), but it was when I opened up to her and I suppose showed how I felt about her, right after that the communication went down. I just couldn't understand why someone who likes you would do that. It was the first girl I really had strong feelings for, and I guess thats what hurts the most when something like this happens. I guess you just got to move on to bigger and brighter things!

Just curious how long have you know this girl? Did you tell her you love her that could have caused a fright?

Since August. No no didn't say anything like that. Love as you know is a powerful word and if used in the wrong way or at the wrong time really would make someone very nervous about that person. You would come across as been desperate. She was just so different than anyone I had ever met and we both had the same views on a whole range of things like trust and all that. I just never seem to have any luck when it comes to women. I thought when I met her that someone was genuinely interested in me. Confidence in myself as a result takes a battering. This situation I find myself in didn't really help either.

Whats annoying me is why she hasn't said anything to me. Like if she said she didn't want to get into a bf/gf situation at the very least, I'd have an answer and would know that the best thing to do is move on. I guess I am stuck in a limbo. Its not a good place to be because you still feel you have a chance of turning things around.

If she really liked you, she'd be with you. That's the bottom line.

It reminds me of a situation I was in. You get all the excuses and suddenly the girl meets someone else and she starts making more excuses as to why the excuses she told you no longer apply.

She had her chance and threw it away. Just leave it and move on.
