M-Box as default sound card?

    Trying to help a mate of mine set up Pro Tools. Seemed to be the usual conflict between stock sound card and the m box when using Pro Tools LE and Reason. So with Vista, I disabled the stock sound card (Realtek) in device manager. So far, so good. But i-tunes, media player, youtube audio...they wont run because the Realtek is disabled. So how do I tell Windows to use the M Box as the sound card for all audio apps?


    Also, on another note...man, Pro Tools sure looks fancy. Some nice instruments and plug-ins too.

    usually it should be the sound card for all apps. do you have monitors plugged into the mbox(since nothing should be coming out of the pc/laptop speakers)? You should be hearing the audio then, if not try restarting the apps or your pc.

    As far as i can remember, on a pc you have to download seperate ASIO drivers from digidesign, install them, then configure all your windows options in device manager etc etc.
    Do a search on their site, sould find them handy enough. Oh, while pro tools is open, no other sound can be used. I remember doing this for somebody before and the performance wasn't great, maybe you'll have better luck tough

    i installed mbox micro and the new pro tools on my laptop last week and had no troubles. you can ring support in ireland ,they might be able to help you.1560 999889.expensive from mobile.
