High Pitched Scratching from 00 Almera

I dont think its a massive problem but my 00 Almera is making a high pitched scratching noise when in motion every now and again.

I had this problem about 2 months ago and once I hit a pot hole it stopped up until now. My guess is there may be a pebble caught in the wheel area and grazing off the brake disc every now and again (seeing as a knock from a pot hole solved it last time!)? What are your thoughts? There doesnt seem to be anything there when I look at the area.

Also, SOMETIMES when reversing there is a big grinding noise when turning. Whats this?

Will get her checked out by mechanic soon enough but if you have any info itd be great! Thanks.

is it coming from the rear wheels? sounds like ur rear brake caliper is seizing on the wheel disc, regards

PS - is a CV BOOT the rubber than houses parts of the metal behind the wheel? If so I noticed that this is cut exposing some metal...

drive shaft? maybe? i had a similar issue when i had the clutch changed in the same car..when id reverse and turn on full lock it would make a loud clicking sound.

im just guessing to be fair..it turned out it was the drive shaft on my car.

Was just doing some research and I realised that my CV boot is torn! Not sure if this is why the car is squealing but I need to get it repaired nonetheless! How much would this cost?

my local garage agreed to fix mine for €80 and do the tracking for an extra 20..so €100 total aint bad. considering nissan wanted €208..definately get it done cause the price of a cv joint will be around €300! i've to get mine done right after chimbo..
