I'm planning a ski trip for a group of 6 next month. As we're living all around the country we intend to get flights from Dublin, Belfast and Cork into Munich and then travel on from there. I'm looking for suggestions for the best resort accessible from Munich airport. Important factors are that it needs to be suitable for experienced (6th time) skiers as well as inexperienced (2nd time) skiers, transfer time & method, apres ski, cost.

there's a thread going about Oberstdorf, its fairly easy to get there from Munich, although I haven't done that route myself.

i'm going to mayrhofen via munich, the transfer time is about 2 1/2 hours apparently. mayrhofen has 650km of pistes as part of the wider ski-pass. should be plenty for various levels of skiers!

Yup been to Mayrhofen a couple of times from Munich. Its a good spot fairly big. There's a glacier etc. I say unless you are absolute expert you would enjoy it.

If you speak Deutsche then hop on the web and you might find low cost penzion's there. Stayed in one maybe 5,6 years back for 22EUR a night B&B or something like that
