New Date Club is having an official launch party on 16 January 2010!

Are you single and looking for fun or a serious relationship or tired of routines and looking for a change? Would you like to meet people like yourself who are bored of going to a regular club? Do you want s...ome privacy?
The event is open for everyone! You can bring your partner or friends and simply enjoy it together as a company or come on your own and meet someone new. You do whatever you want. There are no rules. It’s just a night out with more options.

Location: Dublin city centre. The place is kept secret for a while.

    *Removed*

I'll have a website ready soon (weekend or few days later)
But tickets are already selling! If you don't get one, you won't buy it on the door. There are a limited number of them as you can expect.
We'll stop selling tickets one day prior to the event. At the moment you have PayPal option, or get them from me *Removed*

On the night expect many surprises, exotic dancing, live performances, interpreters to help you communicate, finger food and great music - cocktail, house, charts, mainstream and some Eastern-European tunes as we expect some nice ladies from those countries :)

There will be strict face control.
Dress code: smart or evening casual.

Are you up for it? :)

    What's face control?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 105 ✭✭DJ Alex Black

    Face Control

Face control is practised at the doors of many upmarket nightclubs in Europe and is similar to dress code regulations enforced at many western clubs. The major difference is that potential customers are judged by their appearance, as well as what they are wearing.

If you hear the words, "Sorry, members only" it usually means you didn't pass it.

This is a TICKET ONLY event. If you have one but didn't pass our face control, you will be refunded the ticket price at the door.

DISCLAIMER: The management reserves the right to refuse admission.

So no uglies is what you're saying.

Good luck getting Irish men to your event so. We're hideous feckers altogether.

    I love your prices :D

I'm imagining that this club is something like that warehouse full of kidnapped girls that Liam Neeson blows up in Taken. OP- confirm/deny?

The funny part is that male tickets are half sold.
Most of the people who purchased them are from ... Ireland, UK and Germany, not Eastern Europe.

Face control applies not to your physical looks, but more to behaviour and social attitude.

I am not the one who decided prices. Initially they were 50/15. I recommended lowering female ticket to attract girls. It worked. Tickets started selling.

This type of events is very popular in London. We want to try the idea.

Expect great music, some performances, dances, cosy atmosphere.

    JohnnyChimpo,
it's a nite out.Everybody has to get a ticket. We don't hire or pay girls to entertain anyone. People do what they want.

There's an awful smell of scam off this thread..

Also, I couldn't help but laugh at the term "face control"

OP's username sums up this "club"

Isnt this illegal now to charge differently per gender ?

    unreggd,
Your comment sucks. You can't judge something if you haven't been there.

    smog,
No, it's not illegal. Clubs do promotions when they let girls for free, doing ladies' nite out. It's a common promotion technique to attract people.

    X-Calibre,
Why do you think there is a scam?

    We have 2 official websites:

    B.T.W.

Tickets can be purchased via PayPal which is already safe.
Or you can meet me in city centre or Clondalkin and get a printed one.

It's my opinion, which I'll give as I please

Have fun refunding all your 50 euro tickets. I doubt a guy desperate enough to pay 50 euro for glorified speed-dating will pass your silly Face Control

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 105 ✭✭DJ Alex Black

    unreggd,
    It's called a loser attitude.

We have people from England coming over to this event who are regulars in London. Refunds there were made on a very few occasions. People usually know what is expected from them. They don't come in too drunk, dress up nicely and behave themselves. It's like in every other nite club.

So save your rudeness for someone else.

We organise this event for people who are bored of a typical nite out and want to try something new. Speed dating events are running from time to time in Dublin but they are private and not advertised.

What we offer is an open event for everyone. Buy your ticket, follow basic rules and you'll enjoy it :)

We've already have 70% tickets reserved. So I am not desperate to get people in.
I am doing it so that everyone would know about this event and is welcome to join us.

Face Control: Reminds me of The Exile (www.exile.ru) in its heyday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 105 ✭✭DJ Alex Black

You see how a name can attract attention.

If I wrote down dress code, nobody would even notice it :)

It's a term people use in Eastern Europe.

How can you justify a 50e ticket? Is there free drink included?

so let me get this straight, a shy guy or girl buys a ticket from you and still faces your NAZI "face control policy". did you ever think that some of these singletons may be single for a reason??? bad dress sense, not great looking, socially inept and you want to compound matters by having them face the embarrasment of being refused because they dont have the right shirt or haircut??? what will that do for their confidence, youre a piece of work i'll tell you that. what are you expecting?? gangs of 90210 lookalikes in mini skirts??? ive heard of that policy, anyone who's not attractive or cool enough wont attract enuf equally cool guys or girls to the club, which is bad for business. Dont try dress it up woith some elite-ist "practiced in upmarket clubs" nonsense. if your adopting the policies of an upmarket establishment then dont you wont need to advertise.

PS we're in a recession, clubs can't afford to be labelled UPMARKET, you SNOB!!!!

sounds like a bit of a meat market to be fair, I think your ticket prices may be working against you. Hope it works out for you all the same.

So, you pay €50, and there's still a good chance that you can't get in? As for not telling where it is until two days prior, that blows. For example, is it City Centre, outskirts, etc? For all we know, it could be in the nightclub in Swords, which is pricey to get to, and you're fairly f**ked getting home from it if you don't have €50 for a taxi to get into the city.

Please name a club that has been doing this within the last year in Ireland. There has been serious laws bought into place to stop this sort of happenings.

    =-=

May goto one of these for the lulz, shaved head, dressed in black, in a nice black trenchcoat. And then demand my monies back on refusal. And the beauty of it? If it doesn't state what passes the "face policy", they leave themselves open to the Small Claims Court :P

Enough. First of all, the Gigs/Events forum is under the music section, and this has nothing to do with music at all, I don't even know why this was posted here in the first place. Secondly, stop reporting every other post here Unbearable, it's abuse of the report post function, and moderators frown upon that.
