Yeah I'd like to know too. Doors are at 7.30 but info is limited otherwise so I have no idea when is a good time to show up. Ain't been a gig in a long time (I'm a dubstepper) so should I turn up at 8, 9? Or on the dot! Help needed.

    I don't think there's an XX gig - it's a DJ set I believe.

Looking at the website it is both a Dj set and gig by the XX. Linky here: http://www.pod.ie/index.php?s=1 The dj set starts after the gig at half 11.

You lucky folks get the gig and DJ set..they were great down here during the week. Only thing that spoiled it was the twats yapping away in the front row, and another girl having a full blown conversation on her phone about exams...also in the front row...during Crystallised. The look she got from the band was one of confusion and wtf??
Enjoy, I would love to see them again

Just rang the pod there and they said they are on stage at 9.30pm.

Not a very inspiring gig, they didn't connect w the audiences energy at all. Sp many kids there waiting for it to kick off and it never did. I have this feeling that if they ever tour live again the drummer will have a full kit and they will do rockier versions of the first album. They have to be the first band I've seen whose live versions are actually slower than the real thing :-)

Very short and not very energetic. Some nice moments from time to time but overall a definite sense of disconnect between band and fans.

So many of their songs work up to this almost tipping point and then things subside..that's partly why I love them; they aren't just going burst through with a rush of music because some folks are waiting for something that isn't going to kick in, kick in.

There were three girls at the galway gig doing that sorta night club ince ince dancing, waiting for the build up to reach bursting point and it didn't. Lovely:)
