Okay so I'm thinking about getting one but I don't know much about them so I need some advice. I realize the whole no playing old UMD games but I never had a PSP previous to this so that won't really be a problem. So about getting new games, is buying online and downloading my only option? Can you download games from rapidshare and play them like the old PSP? (mods sorry if mentioning that is frowned upon free to edit this post). Thanks for any help

Not sure that there are any cracks available for this yet, however, all the content on the playstation store should keep you well busy. Lots of great ps1 classics to get through....ff7,wipeout...ah memories!!!;)

I didn't realise about the PS1 games that sounds good. What kind of prices are the new PSP games and how much are the PS1 games?

If you install this software, you can create a psn account and browse the playstation store and see that they have on offer before you get your psp.

I use mediago to transfer music/movies to my GO and download everything from the store through my pc...and it automatically puts it on the psp. very handy :D

Thanks for the link Combat, and seeing as you have the Go, would you recommend it?

There a lot of naysayers regarding it, and it is a bit pricey, but I think it's totally worth it, id never be able to go back to my 3000 model. The bluetooth support and convenience of having no umd's alone makes it a winner for me.
