Has anyone else seen this hilariously bad film? Went last night, and laughed pretty much most of the way through!

Story is basically about a couple who are having money problems, and a box miraculously lands on their doorstep. Some oul fella with half a face tells them that if there is a button in the box - if they open it and push it, someone they don't know will die and they'll receive €1m...and if they don't, he'll come back and collect it. And shur what does Cameron Diaz do only push the button. And hey presto! Cut to scene where someone is shot at that exact moment. Drama follows, ending with the couple begging yer man to take the money back, that they don't want it, blah blah, and he tells them nope, they pushed the button, now must live with the consequences, and now he's off to offer the box to another person...someone THEY DON'T KNOW, he reassures them. Gasp! Wait, that means.....

Cameron and Fella-who-played-prince-in-Enchanted's accents are bad enough (cringe-inducing in fact), but this whole story is just....bonkers. I was still left confused after the movie.

If you want a good laugh, go see though!

I thought it was the kind of film that doesn't even deserve the title 'hilariously bad'. Pretty much hated it - whatever about the central idea (which holds up for about 30 mins until Kelly decides to...ahem.... 'explain it') but the whole
    'lightning bringers'
nonsense is jaw droppingly stupid. Cameron Diaz has the most bizarre accent in this too, which is always distracting. But the sheer stupidity of the plot (
the poorly CGIed gateways, for example
) is what propels this ever downwards. Badly written and badly acted.
Although the shot of the water collapsing onto the bed was nice
, until you realised how stupid it was.

As a fan of mystery boxes with bizarre functions, I was deeply disappointed, and definitely think Donnie Darko was a fluke at this point.

Seen it last night. Left thinking how much of a disjointed mess it was. I thought it was just me, but heard everyone on the way out asking wtf was that about.

After looking at the wiki for the plot, I can honestly say this film has NO point at all. Im shocked someone saw fit to make a movie from it, let alone a big cinema release.

Disjointed, confusing, non-sensical. I honestly thought EVERY film no matter how bad had a point, but this beggards belief.

I watched this last night jaysus! Camerons accent was awful! I didn't really understand it though because no one else really had a southern accent in it??? Or at least not as strong as hers.

I thought it was pretty funny when the other guy who had pressed the button grabbed Camerons husband and they were in his car and he says "They just took your son!" I mean...how did he know this, and also for god sake if he hadn't taken him he probably would have seen the "employees" taking his son and stopped them!

okay that really is just a small flaw in the movie considering the rest of the nonsense that went on, but by god! The nonsense!

Also I took offense to the director having his characters giving me the two fingers throughout I think he was telling me Im an A@*hole for watching it . So for that I give this movie 2/10

I dont get this movie,. Havent seen it but I've seen the trailers and I cant help but think...why they dont just press the button straight off.
I get a box in the post and its got a big red button in it then I'm pressing the hell out of it to see what happens...then some creepy old guy comes and tells me I get a million dollars everytime I press it but someone, somewhere in teh world dies?! I'm pressing the thing before he's finished the sentence...

It's not every time it's pressed. Just a one time dealy... Don't watch the film anyway, it's easily as bad as that Southland Tales garbage (another incomprehensible megaflop from Richard Kelly)
