Need a gift for a woman

    Hey all,

right.. I need a gift for a woman, in her 50s. It's on behalf of my dad. They go out every now and again and have been seeing each other for a while (though never anything overly serious).

He works in a chemist, and so, got her a big gift basket full of chemist-y things (perfumes, soaps, shampoos.. etc. etc.) but he wants to get her something else, too. Something that does not come from a chemist, and so he asked me to help, but im at a complete loss as to what to get.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas at all? She doesn't seem to have any obvious hobbies or interests (that i know of, anyway). For such a person, a chemist would be my one-stop shop, but seen as im not allowed use a chemist, i'm clueless.

Anyone got any ideas for anything?

How about something like a pendant or bracelet? Newbridge have a lovely range.

(Mods, I have no connection to Newbridge!)

if he has already done out a hamper for her a voucher would be nice to go with it perhaps for beauty salon/spa?

    That's cool Dizzyblond.:)

OP Dizzyblond is right though, they have got a lovely range of jewellery and other things.

Donaghmede Shopping center in Dublin has a shop which sells this range and most of it is half price atm.

I think it would be ideal.:)

If it's half price there it's most likely the same in other shops that sell it.
Google to find one near you.

Jewellery, it can be personal with a little engraving. Or a charm bracelet, then he can give her a new little charm on her birthdays etc.
It's a rare woman who doesn't like chocolate but its not very personal.
A pashmina, or good gloves for this cold winter. In a colour to match something that she has...
If he really fancies her, a silk slip or stockings? (proceed with caution here!)

    Just a few ideas...
