For yourself: Eye protection and good boots (blindness and broken ankles suck!)
For the AEG: Get a good battery (Firefox or Intellect) and an extra mag.
Play a few games and get to know your AEG.
    Worry about upgrades later.

    Well I've played 2 or 3 games so I know that :P
But I'm Just wondering what upgrades you can do to an airsoft gun because all I know right now is a tightbore barrel which makes it more accurate so I'm just wondering what else you can do and what are the effects ?
And thanks for the quick reply

When I get a new gun I replace the hop-up and shim the gearbox, the new hop-up gives better range and accuracy and shimming the gearbox improves the R.O.F and stops unnecessary wear on the gears by insuring that they are evenly spaced.
Then a little while later I'll replace the piston and piston head, to improve the airseals and durability, there is so much you can do with a bit of money and time. It all depends on what you want really.

So what would be the upgrades I could do to get the longest range other than the ones you mentioned?
I know there is like barrel extensions in some silencers but I have yet to see any

A good hop and good bb's ( I use .25's myself) will get you a good range.
The silencer thing works by buying a longer inner barrel and using the silencer to cover the end. I've a 510mm tightbore to go in my M4 which has a stock barrel length of 363mm, so the new one will stick out past the flash hider, but if I put a silencer over the end it will be covered and protected.

Yep,,you can extend the the inner barrel through a mock silencer,,however depending on the barrel length you may have to change out the cylinder,
Metal bearing/bushings are also worth the outlay,,and as Mr Leftylip has said its worth the time and effort to remove any gunk from the GB and give it a good re-shim and re-grease.

But won't the .25 bb's make it fall out of the air faster? With the 320 limit they dont go very far with .20's anyway right?
Ahh right I get it now lol
    Are all barrels universal?
Like the sites say m4 barrel (enter length). like will that work with my gun?

All AEG inner barrels are the exact same, with the exception of very very few.

I've found that .25's get better range than .2's they are also far more accurate.

Im guessing you will have to open the gear box for that? Is it hard to put back together?

    What grease do you use?

What cylinder do I have to change and where would you buy them?

try this idea on for size,
Dont get your sig 552 just yet, get the money for it instead and wait awhile. christmas sales and all that. Get a few quid extra and buy a gun, ie G&G off the shelf that doesnt need upgrading. Save you the bother of taking the gun apart and keeps you warranty too.

You can get a very good VFC M4 for €320 that fires excellent with a super rate of fire. These guns dont need upgrades for the starter.

I dont the g36 upgrade and now am happy with my vfc.

Use silicone grease, Have a look at www.mechbox.com for instruction as to how to reasemble your gear box, Also buy from an Irish retailer, The AEG'S I got from them have never given me any trouble, Pending on where u are based try Tony or Rhinocharge have delt with them personly and can honestly recomend them.
