I have seen a 2003 TDDI mondeo with low mileage for under 6k.

Is ther much of a difference between the TDCI and TDDI? I would have the foggiest to be honest but obvioulsy noticed the different models...Any Advice??

    Thanks

Lovely cars, there's a difference in economy and pick up between the two, the later TDCI being a better engine. Can I ask why under 6K? I'd find it hard to find one at such a high price at this time of year.

?? It is the cheapest with the 57k milage on it. It's on carzone. It's a ts reg and with denis mahony in kilbarrack. Is it really underpowered??

    Thanks

No it's not so bad, if you've driven a petrol previously then you'll really notice the difference. They're alot cheaper to run, but the acceleration isn't gonna be the same. I couldn't see myself spending that kind of money (or anything like it) on a '03 Mondeo TDDI. Each to their own.

The 115PS is definitely not underpowered, cant speak for the 90PS tho. I'm a TDDI owner (2002) and 57k is nothing for that car, mine has 115k and just passed NCT with nothing other than routine maintenance. Very satisfied so far.

€6k is excessive tho, buyers market and all that...

A direct quote from "car" magazine.......

The Tddi sound like a skeleton masturbating in a filing cabinet.

    The Tdci does not.:D

The Tdci is the one to have. I can highly recommend the 130bhp model - not that common here, but worth looking for.

I have a 2002 TDCI. With a 2l turbo diesel engine and 130 BHP under the bonnet, it really goes. You have to watch yourself as you could clock up the points without realising it.

Mine has 50k on it and I brought it in from the UK.

Its boot is massive but I was thinking of changing mine as I could do with an estate.

Yeah shop around, the 130bhp 2.0 litre Tdci is the one to go for, you can get these cars in the UK for sod all money, and there are loads to chose from. Happy shopping.

I test drove the TDDI yesterday and it is a little noisy and not as sluggish as I had thought. I was going to go ahead and buy it but I got a taxi home and guess what i got into....an Auto TDCI with full leather interior - Nice - and he is selling it. Only 70k on the clock.

Does anyone know what the MPG would be on the auto diesel?

    Cheers for all the advice.

I wouldn't touch it. There's no end of immaculate TDCIs around, don't bother buying anything unless it's showroom condition, well kept and on new rubber.
    have a look into something like this;
