Been having alot of problems with my Seagate external hard drive, its a 1.5TB. When i got it i fromatted it to fat32 for use on the 360. Was working ok but a few months ago it fell about 2 foot from the table. Connecting to the 360 was ok but the laptop was very hit and miss.

My problem now is that the laptop detects it, but i cant access any files or explore the content. I tried to reformat with fat 32, swiss knife and cmd prompt. None worked, swiss knife wouldn't run and cmd said i don't have privileges or something along those lines.

    Any suggestions?

Bump for the OP. I got the Harddrive from him to try with Windows 7 and somehow managed to reformat it with one partition of size 0. Tried reformatting it again and nothing, have tried Swissknife and FAT32Formatter.

Just connected up the harddrive and was prompted to format it. Started the format and about 10 minutes later it said the format wasn't completed. It then said to make sure it's connected properly and to make sure it isn't read-only. Any hints on what to do next?
