    I realise this is probably the wrong section to post this, so if anyone can tell me somewhere better please do.

    But I'm sure most of you can answer a couple of my questions.

    Are the campus' of Carlow College and ITC far apart?
    What's the night-life and the town in general like for students?

    Thanks in advance.

    Nightlife is one of the best in the country IMO. Its between carlow and galway for best RAG week, ya cant go to far wrong with going to college in carlow, i dont know wat the College is like but the IT is pretty good with reasonable class sizes.

    Hi, was wondering is there anyone doing the English and History course and what they think of it?

    Carlow College is about 15 minutes from the IT, it is the PLC that is next to the IT.

    My friend is studying social care there and loves the place. Very friendly with good teachers. Hope that helps.

    OP, I did Social Care in Carlow College (aka St Patrick's). It's a grand college- cos of the fact that they specialise in Social Care and Humanities, it means that its close knit. The SC course were close, and the humanities course seem close. I have a few friends that did humanities there and thought it was great. Although they kind of "force" you to do bible studies or something in first year- allegedly there's no option.

    The nightlife in the town was great. I rarely went home to Dublin, and managed to get a part time job there (pre- recession) so made loads of friends. The IT has way more students than St Pats, but it means that the town is a real student town. There are loads of pubs and a couple of night clubs/ late bars.

    I had the time of my life and I'd do it again if I could...

    @V480:
    What's the point in posting if your just going to remove it?

    And BTW, I've also heard that the college is abit clicky but I've never been so I can't comment from my own experience.
