Phantom Powered Amp ?

Hi Guys,

Excuse my ignorance but someone popped into me and was asking about a Phantom powered amp. Its not something I have come across, am i loosing my marbles or are the available ? I deal with Fender, Marshall, Ashdown, Line 6, Stagg and Roland but i have never come across them... any one have experience with them ?

They must have been asking for an amp that has an xlr input with a phantom switch. As for a amplifier that is powered by just 48v??? i think not

Thanks guys, I wasnt too sure if i was going nuts or not !

The person seemed really miffed when I didnt know what she was talking about. I didnt want too seem like "Oh ive never heard of that so it doesnt exist !" Just said I would look into it, the person just went "Oh well ive seen it in ABC music shop in town so they exist".

Anyways have loads of amps with XLR out that power Phantom Mics.... all part of the learning curve !
