    Hi All

Looking for a bit of advice.

I'm thinking of putting my 18 month old 24" mac on ebay or selling to a mate as im going to go for the 27" after x-mas

I currently have a lot of personal info on it, bank and business stuff etc.

If i secure empty trash and then do a 35 pass write over is it still possible to recover deleted files?? I'm more worried that some nerd genius might buy it and start digging..... i could also be seriously paranoid!!

    What best guys?

If you don't think 35 pass writeover is good enough, I suppose you could always replace the HDD! :P

no not really - but it has a potential to go wrong.

so best read up on it before you even try.

solid state drive - google it for more (and better:D) info.

The 35-pass erase will be fine (unless you are selling it the the NSA ;) )
