    I'm *trying* to check-in for a flight I have tomorrow however i'm getting:

    "The Ryanair.com booking system is currently unavailable due to essential system maintenance."

    Anyone know how long these system maintenance things usually take?

    Am I screwed tomorrow if I can'y check in tonight?

    Agggh! Stress!

    I'd print out that screen if I were you. Far as I remember it's up to 4 hrs prior to flight time but could be wrong on that.

    Yeah I'm pretty sure it's up to 4 hours before departure too.

    Ah well, I'll keep trying it through the night, if all else fails I will print out the error message - somehow I doubt Ryanair staff will have too much sympathy for me though and I'm sure it'll be a case of;

    "Tough, that'll be E40 per person for desk check-in please thank you very much"

    When Ryanair's website is going down for scheduled maintenance, an e-mail is sent to everyone whose check-in period falls into the maintenance window. That e-mail will let you know when the site will be unavailable and tells you to check in beforehand. If you ignore the e-mail, Ryanair will have zero sympathy and charge you the €40 fee. If you do not get the e-mail and somehow manage to convince Ryanair that it was their fault, they might waive the fee.

    Should the maintenance be unscheduled, it is of course their fault entirely. You should get away with just a print-out of the error message then... But this is Ryanair so you never know :).

    In general though, it is never a good idea to wait with checking in until the very last moment. You can check in two weeks before your flight. Why not do it early, print a boarding pass (or two, in case you lose one)? It is too late for OP to do that now but I think for the future, it is something to keep in mind.

    Hmm, seems to be down at the moment. I cannot spot any notice on the website, but it won't let me past the screen where you give it your registration number to start the checkin process.
