I've been loooking at replacing my old Specialized helmet, I've tried on nearly all models available, and naturally the one that is the most comfortable is also the most expensive I've seen:rolleyes:

    Specialized S-Works

I really like everything about it, The fit and finish is great, plus I like the removable peak (Not very Euro but I do some Mountain biking too).

    Cheapest I've seen is €160.99:eek:
Can these be purchased on line anywhere? I see that Specialised are very strict on cross border sales.

    Thanks for any help.

Off the top of my head, cyclestore.co.uk (€150 delivered) and McConveys cycles (€139 delivered, free shipping from up north) sell them...is it this exact one you are after? It's nice alright

EDIT: Evans (UK delivery only) and Primera (€154.73 delivered) too

Yeah that's the one I'm after.

I knew Evans sold them but they are "UK delivery only" I'll check out the other sites now. McConveys might be a good bet as they are up the north.

    Thanks ;)

Buying helmets from the UK you can make a good saving as they are zero-rated for VAT there.

Got an email off Rutland Cycling, Specialized 2D helmet for €127 (option with glasses for €150) but I reckon shipping costs would be around £20 extra... and this site confirms blorg's post about VAT free helmets in the UK! :)

Thanks for all the help guys:)

Well the deed is done. My wife was in cycleways today and managed to negotiate a €20 discount. €160 down to €140. More expensive than in the UK, but not too bad, we can llive with that for the sake of the economy, postage etc. etc.

It's under the christmas tree now.....

    It's calling to me:p
    Thanks again

Are you sure about Evans exclusively mailing to UK? I only ask because that's where I got my Specialised Propero from (about 11 months ago). Has something changed?

I think it's a Specialized distributor geography thing. There are lots of shops in the UK that will not ship Specialized outside the UK. You may find one that still does (I bought several pairs of shoes and an entire bike) however the big ones generally don't any more.
