You can't. Full stop. At least not legitimately, and you can't discuss illegal methods on this board.

Its a streaming service.

I work for a UK company, so we've a UK IP in the office. I adore the BBC iPlayer desktop player. Full DRM, content auto-deletes, it allows you to download the BBC content to watch offline. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before RTE bring out a similar service. Also RTE are meant to be making their catchup service available via the UPC Digital Cable service at some point, so on-demand access on the TV, now that will be great.

There is no legal way to download from RTÉ Player. Its a streaming service.
