I was given a copy of the workprint and didnt watch it, wanted to see it at the cinema first, who'd have thought the final cgi would have been worse than the half bluescreened stuff in the workprint:D

 damn, they really did persue that didn't they?....be afraid! :(

They pursued him as the person who broke all sorts of confidentiality clauses and then actively distributed it without permission over the internet. It's the difference between buying a dodgy DVD for a fiver and going out selling a thousand of them for a fiver a go.

Ah yes, because I remember that law where you can see a film and not have to pay for it if you think it was crap.

Let's not beat around the bush here - the film was awful. The fact that it was awful doesn't mean you have a right to see it for free, or that anyone had the right to upload it for free. That's what this boils down to.

I wonder how they found out. I also don't suppose the FBI will look into WHICH OSCAR JUDGE released the Two Towers DVD Screener a while back. Only the little guys pay :(

 We're gonna martyr him now are we? Little guy knowingly broke the law, cost a studios millions and was caught, don't see how anyone could have a problem with this story

Speaking of which they have arrested Academy Screener leakers before http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/search/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=2075640

Right I'm nipping this in the bud right now before it turns into a 'boast about the amount of crap I've seen illegally' crapfest.
Guy broke the law and noww he has to pay. Let that be the end of it.
