* Goldust defeats an unknown star with his finisher.

WWE SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* Teddy Long opens SmackDown and talks about the #1 contendership to the World Title. Batista interrupts him then Rey Mysterio interrupts Batista. Mysterio vs. Batista for the #1 contender spot is made for tonight.

* CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Luke Gallows defeat Matt Hardy, R-Truth and John Morrison in six-man action after Punk pinned Hardy.

* Segment with Mickie James, Maria and Beth Phoenix. Maria vs. Beth is made for tonight.

* Eric Escobar comes out and cuts a promo until Vickie Guerrero interrupts him. Kane vs. Eric Escobar is made for right now.

* Kane defeats Eric Escobar with a chokeslam. Vickie taunts Escobar after the match.

* Chris Jericho comes out and cuts a promo. The Great Khali comes out for a match with Jericho.

* The Great Khali beats Chris Jericho by count out. Jericho ran away when Khali came out to cause the count out. Khali dances to celebrate.

* The Hart Dynasty defeats Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master J with The Hart Attack. Smith hits a triply belly-to-belly in the match. They cut a promo on DX. DX vs. The Hart Dynasty is announced for the Christmas edition of SmackDown.

* Michelle McCool, Layla and Beth Phoenix cut a promo.

* Beth Phoenix defeats Maria.

* Rey Mysterio defeats Batista to become the new #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title. Rey comes out to the biggest reaction of the night and gets the win with a rollup.

Dark Main Event:

* Batista is left in the ring when the lights go out and The Undertaker appears. Taker defeats Batista with the Tombstone to send everyone home happy.

ECW

Dark Match:

* Goldust defeats an unknown star with his finisher.

ECW on SyFy, Airing Tonight:

* ECW kicks off with a promo from TLC for the Shelton vs. Christian match. Tiffany comes out and introduces Shelton and Christian. They shake hands and talk about their TLC match. William Regal, Vladimir Kozlov and Zeke come out to heat and interrupt. Kozlov vs. Zeke and Zack Ryder vs. Kane is announced for tonight with Kane's homecoming.

* Tribute to the Troops promo airs.

* The Hurricane defeats The Ripper in a match with a lot of nearfalls. Helms removed the mask on The Ripper to reveal it being Paul Burchill.

* The Abraham Washington Show features Maria as the special guest.

* Ezekiel Jackson defeats Vladimir Kozlov in a quick match. Regal and Zeke attack Kozlov after the match.

* Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft defeat two local wrestlers.

* Promo with Goldust, Kane and Yoshi Tatsu.

* Kane defeats Zack Ryder with a chokeslam in a good back and forth match.

My thoughts on SD after reading this are:

- Punk actually won a match (still in a mid-carder role, thou)
- DX Vs The Hart Dynasty, yes please!! (just not a buriel)
- Escobar/Vickie is a split
- Jericho is now in a feud with Khali of all people.
- So much for Maria being Diva of the year
- Rey is now no1 contender. Lets hope he won't injure himself more.

ECW are having an ECW homecoming tornament over the 3/4 weeks where 8 ex-ECW wrestlers face 8 from the current batch. The winners will go into an over-the-top rope battle royale with the winner getting a title shot against Christian.

Hmm Smackdown interest looks to be low these days.

Main event was a pretty good match.

I really enjoyed the 6 man tag.

The Triple Suplex DH smith pulled off was cool. I hope we are seeing the start of a push for the hart dynasty.

Their was lots of edited pops for that Hart Dynasty match I thought. :pac:
The rest of the show was good, nothing that memorable but still solid after a horrid raw.

Kane beat two up and comers in one week. How does this help anyone?

Jericho made Big Show look good, and so the next job is to make Khali look good. I really hope this feud is short.

Hart Dynasty beat a bumpkin pretending to be a rapper and a chinaman pretending to be a cowboy. The WWE undercard need better gimmicks. Great slam from Nattie.

Batista vs Rey was their best match so far.
