Not planting the bomb in sabotage

I'm fed up of people playing sabotage only for the sake of their k:d ratio.

Worst example was the other day when I had a memeber of my team actually messgae me to tell me to stop planting the bomb. :mad:

yeah frankly I'm getting quite sick of it aswell. Sabotage/demolition etc. are not for K/D ratio's. All these "pro" gameplay vids that are up often show guys playing these modes and not even caring about planting/defusing the bomb at all, they just camp and pop people off.

This has happened a few times, I just leave. If anyone sent me a message saying to not plant the bomb, I'd tell them to **** Off and play TDM.

I know, it's an absolute joke of a gametype, and I said in another thread about this aswell actually. If IW put it into a round-type situation similar to S&D or Demolition maybe people would actually try to plant the bomb and destroy the base instead of camping with a sniper looking directly at the bomb picking people off who do genuinely want to play the game. I love Demolition because in order to extend the time the attacking team has to destroy one of the bases, and the short rounds make for a much more intense and strategic style of gameplay IMO

I love a good game of sabotage when both teams go far it and there is back and forth planting and defusing makes for a good game but at the other end when the turn into a camp fest its just down right annoying.

This craic of someone having 60 odd kills compared to my 10/11 is a joke. Sometimes i seemed to be the only one going for the bomb then bam, taken out by a camper . Tools

I usually play sabotage with a friend of mine, one of us takes the bomb the other one tries to keep the enemy at bay BUT as soon as you pick up the bomb its like putting a big sign above your head for all the campers saying "kill me"

Thats when you run the bomb with marathon and light weight

He uploads a video of himself getting a 40 kill streak. Big f'n deal. His team loses and he constantly ignores opportunities to take capture point C! I mean really, what is the point? I reckon the guy only defends capture points because it means he gets a kill.

I tend to end up with about 31-15 or so with the most points captured in domination... i take out the snipers then take the base... most of them stick to the usual spots...

Depends completely on the killstreaks...


UAV + sentry gun + chopper gunner are good enough on terminal.

Think you are being a bit harsh. I wouldn't really agree that he's a "retard" to be honest. Yes he could have taken C or B on 1 or 2 occasions so wasn't perfect. But..

• He had at least two other friends online in that game, so it is quite possible they had split up into groups to look after areas, or that there was a lot of good chat going on with instructions etc.. You aren't seeing the full picture there.
  
• He defended B and C at least 7 times with people sitting on them, and killed another 10 or more people who were running towards those targets to take them. He also did take B on two occasions.
  
• They lost 200-193. So it was a close game. If he had sat in a corner and just picked people off, ignored all targets, and ended up getting 40 kills as his team lost 200-124 or something like that, they yes he'd be a chump to have alongside you. But if the team is working together then I think I'd have him with me everytime if he can reproduce that form.
  
• On the 1 - 2 times where he didn't take the target, they were taken shortly afterwards, often while he was defending the person. Again, why assume he was stat boosting, instead of him chatting with his mate to say he'd cover him? Also, people who run to a target straightaway ususally get killed. Having a look around often yields a few clearance kills and then an easy target gain.

All that being said, I completely agree that there are far to many people who ignore the targets and focus on kills. I'm just not sure if this is anywhere near the worst of them.

I agree. On domination you actually need a guy like him on your team to just do a bit of skirmishing and causing a bit of chaos to keep the other team off-kilter whilst other members of your team take the base. In fact I sometimes find myself playing this role especially if I'm on a weak team as the weak teams tend to just run headlong into campers over and over again and you need someone to be a playmaker - but I'm nowhere near as good as this guy

I used to play sabotage all the time in cod4, used to get some abuse as i was known for planting the bomb and ending games pretty quick, i always thought if you actually play to win your gonna score well anyway unless your a useless camper

i do this....i just hate short rounds......if the bomb is planted ill defend it....if i acidently pick up the bomb ill try plant it..... just not activley....ill help teammates etc... with the bomb but if its in the middle of the map i wont pick it up.

but i just hate how short the games are on team deathmatch.....
i only play sabotage hardcore nd freeforall
long games, no radar, and shoot anything that moves.... but i do get annoyed changing my perks etc.... all the time....

I only play Sabotage, Ive seen this a few times, normally manifested by some teenage English pr1ck, "Dont plant the Bomb".........at which point I drop out and look for a new game. Ive said it before here, good games with both teams trying to win are rare, throw in the witches and dog rapists and its gets even rarer.
A good game normally goes right down to the wire with a lad left on each team and the rest of your team screaming instructions at you, good craic!

I have some good games and bad games in sabotage but lets be realistic if this was a real you would camp out where the target was.

I play HC: HQ and I find a lot of players play it as TDM, just running around for the kills.
