I'd prefer to see someone in the first dress at a wedding. To me it's a tad more refined, a bit classier if you will. The second dress is more of a party dress but a wedding is more then just a party, it's a life changing event (for someone).
As for shoes, it's difficult to go against whats already been styled in the photograph. Try for something similar to those.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

The first dress, definitely. The second looks a little too tacky for a wedding.

Agree with the above first dress, as for the shoes well as Old Goat said same as the picture and you can't go wrong. Enjoy the day. :)

First dress would be lovely with a smart pair of ankle boots and black tights.

Thanks for the replies! The fear i had with the first dress is that it might look to business like? also maybe its a little bit older, i'm 25. And I was thinking no tights either??

In my opinion i think the second dress is the best, the first is too formal looking. Also which ever you decide, don't go bare leg. Some black opaque tights will suffice or even if you like some nice tan/flesh tights will do the trick.

The first dress is quite formal but I think its the best of the two. You can make it more weddingy with some nice accessories though so I wouldnt worry about that. The hair on the model is fab too.

I agree with the above the first dress is more suitable for a wedding. It is a little business like (certainly I would considering wearing it to work, but I wear a lot of dresses to work) but the frill is nice and unusual.

For me the other dress is more of a party/nightclub dress than a wedding guest dress.

I also think the first dress is a better option. The print on the 2nd dress is a bit tacky for a wedding imo.
The fold detail on the 1st dress makes it more dressy and less like a business dress!! I wouldn't wear bare legs with the first dress either, looks a lot classier with the black tights and I would definitely wear similar to the shoes in the picture. Maybe wear a little black fascinator also to dress it up a little!

Number 1 for sure I think it would look amazing with a cute pair of black patent courts and some lovely accessories to sure not to go over board!

Second Dress is not 'dressy' enough for a wedding

I'd wear the first dress to a wedding over the second, definitely. Wouldn't go bare legged either. I think it'd be a bit odd, especially considering it's a wedding in the middle of winter.

If you wanna make it a bit less office-y, sex it up if you will, just wear really high shoes. Personally, I wouldn't do peep toes like in that picture. I think peep toes with tights equals wrong. Just a really nice pair of high black shoes. River Island have a great pair, simple, but yet would make it feel a bit younger.

I don't think the dress needs to be accessorised much either, it'd take away from the detail on it. If I was wearing it, I'd probably just put my hair up in an unusual way or something.

So its looking like the Karen Millen dress, thanks ladies. Had a look on river island website, couldn't shoes in question, but there was a nice peep toe pair which look sky high,on the first page of heels, top row, 3rd from the right, couldn't steal the picture for some reason.

Yeah, you can't steal pics from the website, sooo annoying!

Like those shoes though! Can't go wrong really!

id agree with the first dress, a few people showed up to my wedding looking like they were heading off to the club and they did stand out and not in a good way :-)

If you do a screenshot of them and upload that you can :P

Anyway I don't like either of the dresses, but that's just me. First one is better for a wedding though.
