Dream Matches ?

I don't know if this has been talked about here before, I looked...
What are some of the dream matches that never have or will happen? And why?

Bret vs. Angle was mentioned earlier. Bret in his prime vs. Angle from 2002 could've been a great match. I always liked Bret despite the criticism of him having a formula of moves or whatever and doing the same 5moves to end the match. Bret as a heel in '97 with a bit more attitude in his actions (that figure-4 around the post!) was great. Angle around 2001-2002 was fantastic.

Bret can't legally wrestle apparently. Plus his career essentially ended just as Angle's began. Wrong timeline I guess. Heard it said that Bret's singles career was in the wrong era.

    Sting vs. Taker
is surely another one? Maybe the video package for this would be better than an actual match if it happen today :P Sting's darker "Crow" gimmick vs. all of the Undertaker's pagentry etc. Sting in the 90's was one of WCW's best "top" guys. Taker was rejuvinated after his '96 feud with Mankind. Would've been a better WM13 main event:pac:

Reason it didn't happen was Sting didn't want to work more than 5-min matches after WCW finished up and during the 90's was WCW's perennial star of course. Same with Taker kinda to a degree - he was closing house shows in '95 and '96 when someone else was the champ. Both are at the end of their wrestling days I assume so not much hope for this one.

Triple H (pre-2001 quad injury) vs. Brock from 2003?
Trips was great watching in 2000 I thought and by 2003 Brock came into his own after working with Taker and Angle.

All fingers pointed at Trips for why there wasn't a 2003 match? Always thought it was odd that as soon as Lesnar wins the strap there's a new title created for Triple H and they're brand specific. Conspiracy theory/hunter bashing fodder I suppose.

    I don'w know.. any others?
(I'm not too up to date on the current crop of wrestlers)

Bryan Danielson Vs Kurt Angle is a match I have always wanted to see. If it does happen, I just hope to god it is soon.

Chris Jericho Vs AJ Styles would be sweet.

Murder City Machine Guns Vs The Young Bucks

Murder City Machine Guns Vs KENTA & Marufuji

    Cena Vs Samoa Joe

    Briscoes Vs London & Kendrick

    Mysterio Vs Marufuji

    HBK Vs AJ Styles

    HBK Vs Danielson

Necro Butcher Vs Mick Foley/Terry Funk circa 1995 would be a car crash, but intriguing.

    Bret Hart Vs HHH

    Briscoes Vs RVD & Sabu

    Bret Hart Vs Bryan Danielson

    Chris Jericho Vs Austin Aries

    Nigel McGuiness Vs JBL

    MCMG Vs RVD & Sabu.

I could go on. Some are totally unrealsitic or have passed their sell by date. Some there could happen and when/if they do, I would be a happy man.

Always wanted to see that myself although now i dont expect to and tbh it might be better if we dont. another one that i often heard talked about was HBK vs The Rock but i doubt we will get to see that either and the same goes for SCSA vs Hogan

Acht, thread's dead.. I won't push it more past this but...
I always thought a big title match between Austin and RVD in 2001 would've been great rather than just a triple threat. WWF misused RVD keeping in him the midcard and then when he finally was thrown a bone they took it away over a bit of a hash. Vince never got behind that guy and it was everyone's loss I thought.

Chris Benoit vs. pre-neck injury Steve Austin would've been great to see as well.

Another fantasy match I thought of was Kurt Angle vs. Randy Savage. That'd would've been great right?

Yeah Van Dam, was the most over guy in the company at that stage, think its was just Vinces ego, of oh well heres this character we didnt create, blah blah blah, big time mistake, would have been some serious big money matches between RVD vs Rock/Austin/Angle
