Just letting people know that they should be extra vigilant this Christmas season. Both mine and my housemates bikes were stolen at the weekend from a bike shed in one of the Milltown housing estates. The locks on both bikes were sawn right through. My bike was only bought a month ago - thats €500 down the drain :(

    Sorry to hear that kenny.
What estate and what kind of lock did you have on your bike?
Are there security cameras in the area?

I wouldn't leave a valuable bike in an outside shed and also if the lock was sawn with a hacksaw it must not have been a very good lock. Worth investing in something reputable. An expensive lesson learned.
