Fuel pump for Renault Megane

I recently had to get a new fuel pump for my 00 Renault Megane. The only problem now is that the gauge that used to tell me how many "miles" I had left in the tank before i had to refuel is now flashing and reading "". Does anyone know how to fix this? All the other gauges (mpg, miles travelled etc) are working fine...…
