Looking for a bit of advise on this.

I am in the England at the moment and have hired a rental car from Hertz. Anyway, I was unfortunate enough to pick up a 25 pound parking fine today.

Would I just be be better off paying it or would I get away with just not paying it? I am assuming that they will go looking for the money off of Hertz eventually and Hertz will bill my card. Or is this not the case?

They'll try bill your card alright. Personally I wouldn't pay it, unless you live in the UK.

You did the crime so pay for it!

Hertz will of course come looking for the money if you don't!

Do you really need the hassle for £25?

If you never again will be looking to rent a car in your lifetime don't pay it.

Pay it, you may end up with a bench warrant. not a pleasent situation to find yourself if you'r pulled over by the U.K. cops some time in the future

Pay it. They'll stick it on your credit card with an admin fee otherwise.

    +1

They have your credit card details and authorisation to bill any further charges to it, relating to the rental.

If you pay the £25 then whoever issued the fine won't come looking for anything else. If you leave it, they'll go after the registered owners (Hertz) who will pay to avoid it going further, and bill it on to you - along with a healthy admin fee.
