Santa is considering bringing me one of the Sat Navs below, which one you think? They seem to have similar specs.

There's only one real difference between these two, the 1240 can speak street names, and the 255 cannot.

What this means is that the 1240 will say "In 300 metres, turn left onto Elm Street" - and the 255 will say "In 300 metres, turn left". That's it.

I would add, that I would recommend you go for a widescreen model, i.e. 4.3" across the diagonal, instead of 3.5" - it does make a difference.

Also, price around as you should get a better model for that money.
