    Hi Folks,

Quick question for the experienced amongst us. I'm looking for Airsoft Grenades. In particular the Hakkotsu CO2 powered grenade. It comes with different shells etc. What is the legality to get them sent to ones house from within / outside the EU? Shipping will be without the CO2 sparklets obviously.

    Many Thanks,

    ironclaw

You'd probably get it cheaper here to be honest. Sout East Airsoft stock them and so do a certain other shop but, peh..

A quick look about and there is about €40 in the difference between France and here :(

What do you mean €40 in the difference? The grenade is only €35 in South East Airsoft.

Fair enough! Sorry I haven't a clue what the legality is after the ban, but if you buy them before you should get them no problem.

Can I have the link to this French website please?

Oh and you can buy the CO2 cartridges but they'll have to be sent by ground post.

I'll see can I find it again, its on eBay. I have no problem buying Irish but I don't want to spend twice as much for the same product.

Apparently they are CE Marked so that should be ok I would imagine. For the CO2 I'll buy Irish as I have a shop just down the road. How much is a decent multi pack?

That link, yes, I think that's the one.

I can't find them on South East Airsoft, are they not listed?

Main Irish Airsoft have 'em in stock + shells/Co2.

    Around 30 odd quids.
You should be able to import as they are classed as toy grenades afaik.
    Cheers
    Hitman.

//EDIT// SE Airsoft also have 'em as Lefty said.
That new shop in Airside estate, Swords - Strikearms may do them also,
I'm calling over there tomorrow. I'll ask.

The language is French but the gear comes from Hong Kong so it ain't gonna get here this side of Christmas. Still though, good prices on some stuff.

Not sure I'd take the risk on grenades at customs though, pre or post ban. As the saying goes: ye pays yer money, ye takes yer chances:)

There's no risk fom the grenades the main concern with the new laws is RIF's
(realistic immitation firearms) to my knowledge there's no mentions of airsoft grenades in any of the new regulations,

as for using bbs in the Thunder bs its not recommended could be classed as hot

    what about the 40mm grenades?
they must be over a joule?

Think of a GBB pistol. They aren't over.

firing 120 bbs with a lot of force?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

as with everything gas it can go up and down, but the individual bbs in a shower grenade with green gas in are weather is about 200 - 250 fps if your lucky from my experiance

What makes you think so ??
Think multiple barrels with multiple bb's - the energy divided between them.
afaik this has been covered before.
This thread is supposed to be about grenade importation ??

Meh, from his reaction, it doesn't seem to be as much force as a tri-shot shotty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 165 ✭✭johnnytiitlips

if you reckon thats under a joule
then each bb spent MUST be at the most 1/120 of a joule

    It's a Madbull 40mm gas 203, it's under a joule.

Gas grenades are all the same unless the have different valves installed aftermarket, which I don't think exist for 203's, or he's running it on CO2.

it clearly shows him filling it with green gas.
and it takes him a while for it to fill....

imagine a gbb pistol releasing all its gas in one burst

    its basically the same theory

You neglected to quote the "or" I see...
I only looked at him firing it.

    Spread between 12 outlets, yes.

sorry to close this but some of the "technical" data posted is very flawed

Airsoft 40mm grenades are perfectly legal

Unless we are told otherwise by johnny law
