i'm not sure from your OP, but if what you're looking for is basically a hardback coffee table ''fashion'' book why not try the fashion section of a bookshop like higgis & figgis or a larger easons? or look for something specific on her favourite classic designer like chanel or YSL? a lot of these kinda books are specifically stocked round this time of year.

    something like this?

I got this recently and can recommend it

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Unseen-Vogue-History-Fashion-Photography/dp/0316727660/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260908494&sr=8-2

it's a fine line and the photography comes with the fashion and vice versa, but maybe it would be better to find out who her favorite designers are and go from there?

What about a years subscription to Wonderland, V or i-D?

It'll be keeping up with the years trends, and she'll have something new every week to read. It's 12 presents for the price of one... though I do appreciate being able to give something on Christmas day itself is a bit nicer.

Fajitas, do you subscribe to any of those mags, or what's one would you recommend photography wise?

I don't subscribe because I pick them up before I'm travelling, otherwise I'd be losing them and leaving them in the wrong place :o

I mostly pick up i-D, Wonderland, V, Dazed & Confused, the occasional Vogue (UK) (though not very often).

Dazed and Confused is a great, as is i-D, but as you might expected, some issues are better than others.

I also pick up Esquire, but that's half for myself and half for the photography in it.
