    If i'm appealing a tort case to the SC on behalf of the plaintiff, am I still the plaintiff, or is it applicant/appellant?

    You'd be the appellant. The party initiating the appeal is the appellant, regardless of whether they were the plaintiff/defendant in the initial High Court action.
