Couple of hundred, but if i were selling i'd definitely be selling it with a hard drive, it's always better to sell a complete working machine.

There's a lot of free software that will completely wipe the disk by writing over it with 1's and 0's. It takes forever to do though, you'd be looking at a couple of days, and you can tell it to do numerous passes too.
When i worked for a large multinational company they sold servers with hard disks after using using similar software to wipe the disks. Unless you're a member of the CIA or something, with top secret info it should more than suffice.

Yeah 150-200 sounds fair. I mean it'll handle all the basics fine, it's hard to find a dual core laptop for < 300 these days.

Just dban the living crap out of the hard drive a few times. Someone could probably still get information off the drive if they really wanted to but the time, effort and cost involved wouldn't be worth it. Dban is free to download.
