That would explain why I've seen about 10 level 10 Prestiges in the last day. Most of whom were no better and in some cases even worse than the average player.

Can't understand why ppl do this what is the point? Isn't half of the fun of this game levelin up and unlocking diffrent weapons, perks etc.? Waste of time imho

And this is why prestige/rank means feck all - just play the game, and enjoy it - don't worry about guys who pad stats.

To be honest, I don't know. The whole prestige thing kind of bugs me. I'm almost level 70 and have unlocked most weapons. I wouldn't bother prestiging but I want more class slots. Kind of annoys me that I have to got thru all the leveling up and unlocking bullsh1t allover again just to get more class slots. I paid for the game why shoudl I ahve to jump thru hoops to be able to use this functionality ?

That said i haven't stat padded at all yet, but I can't say that it doesn't have a certain attraction

Ya, the ultimate weapon in Final Fantasy XIII better be available from the start if you want. I mean "I paid for the game why shoudl I ahve to jump thru hoops to be able to use this functionality". Putting in effort is for n00bs.

Every game has perks for those who put in the effort. I have no idea why you would take offense to it?

I can honestly say that is one of the funniest things i have read since i joined.



But OT, people will do that cause they think it makes them look good.

Little do they know, if you see someone 10th prestige and last in the lobby, it's lols time, oh, and I'm sure IW has a way of resetting the rank, I'm sure they keep a record of all the XP per person, or even using time played it could be done.

Have noticed alot of 10th prestige chaps around lately too. Don't see the point in cheating meself like already said its unlocking the new weapons, perks, killstreaks that keep you coming back for more.

They don't seem to bother fixing those things. If u look at the top of the leaderboards on ps3 there are people with about 20 million kills and no deaths. 1 guy has an 8500 kill streak.

I play on the 360 where those problems are less common, probably because they don't have to pay to make booster accounts for the ps3.

I really don't think paying has anything to do with it :rolleyes:

It's more down to people on xbox being punished for the likes and sony won't bother their holes doing anything about it

I think paying has quite a lot to do with it.

Take for the 360, you've to set up a new live account to get a booster account going, which costs money.

Ps3, you can set up multiple accounts free, and have a booster account easily.

Leaderboards are meaningless. If you want a true gauge of skill, how good someone is or a proper "leaderboard", look for proper tournaments...A player may not always have the most impressive stats but they will function well in the team.

People cheat / boost because they, and too many others, place leaderboards too high in their estimation and regard. Frankly, they mean nothing...

Oh I'm not saying it's a PS3 vs xbox360 argument, i think it sucks the way i have to pay for XBL, but it seems it has some bonus's here and there.

Same with the PC, i think they were cut off to making only one account per game, IIRC?

I just checked the xbox leaderboards and the number one guy has over a billion killstreak with over 13000days playing. I checked his account and it has a message saying he can do the same for anyone for a price.

I certainly have set up two separate new accounts in the past month with a 1 month trial for Gold on each. (before anyone asks, there was nothing nefarious about my intentions. ) You could only use it for new Live accounts though.
