What sort of price would it be to replace the front and rear suspension bushes on a 2001 316?

Also, out of interest, what sort of price would you be talking about for a 2nd hand replacement petrol engine for a 2001 316 with reasonable miles on it?

    Cheers.

You would need to find out what bushes need replacing first - there are a few in the front and rear that would need to be replaced at some time.

Try IVI engines - http://www.iviengines.ie/ They will fit the engine for you as well so that should be one less thing to worry about.

Afaik www.summerhillspares.ie will also supply and fit an engine - you might get them to do the bushes too (not new ones, obviously, but the ones they supply should be servicable...)

    Not your ornery onager

The common bushings to go are the front control arm bushings and the rear trailing arm bushings. Ballpark figure would be about €200-250 each end. Front parts are expensive but easy to do. Rears are cheap parts but more labour intensive. Might be a bit cheaper getting them all done together. BMW specialist price guesstimates btw, not dealers.

Why is the engine query "out of interest"? Surely you either need an engine or you don't.
