First of all, I know nothing about guitars. I am doing a bit of research for someone else (christmas present). Anybody have experience with the Ibanez S320? Is it alright for a relatively new player or is it more for advanced players? Also, is it aimed more towards any particular style of music? The look like they were designed for heavy metal or somthing. Thanks for your expertise.

yep, thats a very decent beginner guitar, that could easily be used by a pro. Ibanez make great guitars. how much are you paying for it?

About 380 Euros I believe, from Musicstore.de, it is not second hand. The other option is a Vintage V100 Gold top (It is a copy of a Gibson Les Pauls I think). That would be 125 Euros, it is second hand but it is in good condition.

definately not a beginners guitar, the floyd rose bridge is far to complicated and hassle-filled, definately better suited to get something with a fixed bridge, otherwise go for it, personally im a huge fan of Ibanez great value
