Has anyone got any idea about a dentist around the UCC area that has reasonable prices? I can't find any info about one the college provides so I assume it does not exist.

Don't think the college has a dentist or anyrhing like that. There's a clinic on western road, two buildings just on the town side of WGB. I think they're pink, or yellow, can't remember. Theres a dentist in there alright, but the bottom floor is in a state after the floods. Think the upper floors are still operating. Have a look around there. If you can't find anything there try google or the yellow pages.

it's not free, but it is pretty cheap. the standard is pretty high though, mainly because it has to be, the students don't want to fail!!
but each session takes about 3 hours, so expect to take a morning or afternoon off. go up there and you'll be seen in the emergency dept if there's something wrong, then you'll be put on a waiting list.
if you know any dental students who need patients, then be nice to them and they'll help you skip the waiting list.

and in case you don't know, it's up behind CUH in wilton!

no, people get the foot in the door in 3 ways.

they are referred in for a specialist opinion by their own dentist / their own dentist takes one look and doesn't know where to start so thinks it'll make a great case for a student
they are in pain, go into the casualty dept in the dental hospital and get the pain sorted and ask to be put on the student waiting list to get the treatment completed
they know a student or someone who works there that'll get them on the waiting list.

best thing to do is find out where the students Christmas party is on and try and score one!

That would depend on how badly you need the dentist and what state your mouth is in though, no? :p
