Illness question

I just started my job in September, I hadn’t been working before this since I’d been in college.

I’ve been really sick lately and doctor had me signed off work for 20 working days. I can’t claim illness benefit for this time can I as I’m sure I don’t have the required PRSI contributions?

Advice please? I literally don’t have any money, and now won’t be paid properly til the end of January.

Submit the claim anyway - it keeps your record up to date for future in case something like this happens again.
Do you get paid for sick leave? If not, you can go to your CWO. If you do, some employers insist you make an Illness Benefit claim anyway, just in case.
