Mould on Inside window ledge

    hey all, seems to be some mould in the inside of one of the window ledges, have put sealant on the outsides, but has anyone any tips for the inside, baby in room so don't want to use any harmfull chemicals??? is there any strips that can be purchased to seal any small gaps!!!

    Get a can of expanding foam and drill holes just big enough to for the noze just under the window ledge (if its plaster board), give it a good squit then repeat every 6 " or so.


    Gotta do this to my cheap ass windows.

    Is it just on the silicone? If so remove and fit anti bacterial silicone if your fussy!

    It seems to be on the window pain/were the wood meats the window!!!!

    You sure it's not just condensation running down the window and wetting the woodwork? If it's a black mould that's more than likely what it is. If that's it then I wopuld scrape it clean with a sharp triangular pain scraper and put acrylic varnish on it. That type of varnish dries quickly and doesn't release fumes.
