What hardware do they employ?....how does it compare to those systems used in Dublin?...is it a cheapo setup?

I rang up and asked, but the manager was very defensive and said they don't discuss specific hardware!

Tis 2 quid more expensive, screen 5....i ask 'cause of Avatar, if you seen a 3D movie what did you think?

The RealD one seemed to have more depth, although it could just have been because Up was made with 3D in mind whereas Toy Story wasnt, also the glasses in the Omniplex are reused, you get new ones in plastic wrapping in Storm, and they felt more comfortable, i went through 3 pairs in the omniplex as the lenses were either smudged or bent so it was making it uncomfortable, the ones in storm were perfect first time

The Barco projectors and the set up to match it is in most of the Omniplexes. I have seen it action on the Cork and Waterford screens and was unimpressed. The Limerick Omniplex has the same equipment and setup.

Basically it is the same setup in terms of specs and ability that was used in the States during the late 80's and 90's. So it is dated tech.

The Storm setup I have not had a look at, nor have I seen it working, but on paper it is a more modern setup that should allow for a better viewing experience.
