    Newry based fighter Damien Rooney will be heading over to America on January 1st to sign pro papers with the HIT Squad gym in Illinois and have his first fight in the states at the start of February. He initially went to train at the HIT squad at the end of the summer for 6 weeks for his 4th pro fight over here on our promotion, and while he was there impressed the management enough to be offered a full time contract. Big congratulations to Damien as he has worked tirelessly over the last two years since debuting on our promotion and we wish him all the best in his endeavours and hope to have him back on a Conflict card in the future, and we hope that we can help provide the platform for other young irish fighters to get recognised on the bigger stage!
