    hi all,
    i really really need help at the moment. doing a distance learning course and statistics is part of it. problem is our lectures are bullrubbish and we are not getting enough help from lecturers. just wondering is anyone able to understand statistics at all who could be of any help to me?!

    You want someone to explain statistics?

    A good book would be more useful. Librarys are innondated with stats books. I suggest 'introduction to probability and statistics for engineers and scientists', Sheldon M. Ross. ISBN 9-780125-984720.

    Of course, it depends what area of statistics you wish to study.
