Hi folks I just have a quick question or two.

Is 400 mhrz a comfortable speed to run this board at?

    GigaByte GA-965P-S3. (e6600 @ 8 x 400)

    http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2321

The board has been operating @ 9 x 266 for three years now, alot of which was spent in a deathtrap case with high temps.
I cannot afford to a new one if it dies.

How high could I safely push it? The die temps are idling @ 36/39C.

Also, Is "interleaved" the most efficient mode for my mixed ram?

    1 x 2 GB Crucial ballistix 800 cl4

    2 x 1 GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Dual Channel

    Thanks for reading!

Just want to bump this as I'm still none the wiser.

I think I've given the relevant info but if I've missed anything
or if I'm posting in the wrong place please let me know.

Depends on your load temps to be honest, check it using OCCT (Linpack) or Prime95

    Thanks for the reply Deano12345.

Load temps are still under 55 (prime95) which is grand.
The case temp is always between 55-61.
I more concerned about the motherboard than the CPU,
I had to lower my multiplier to get a stable overclock
so I have increased the FSB speed from 266 to 400.
The BIOS allows a maximum front side bus of 700 so I'm guessing that 400 isn't too strenuous.
All the ram is rated for 800 mhz but defaults to SPD 533 (or something like that)
I assume this is because it's mixed and running in "interleaved mode".
in any case I just slapped another 0.1V on it and kicked it back up to 800.
No problems so far but I'm fairly inexperienced with overclocking and just a little worried.

Let me know if I've done anything crazy. thanks.

As long as your motherboard temps are alright (in the 30's-40's for me) you'll have no problems
