What are peoples opinion of the role of the Independent Group of Newspapers in the whole Private V Public Service workers furore. There are a couple of journalists who go against the tide of bashing the PS, but in the main, the would appear to have continuously poured fuel on the debate for the last year or so. who will they pick on now ?

Why do you say Smurfit Independent in your thread title. Smurfit has nothing to do with Indo Group of newspapers, good bad or any other way.

The Indo group have generally taken an anti-PS worker line in the past few months.
This is the same newspaper group that produced 'house porn' in the good old days of the Tiger. Their Property Editor in the Sindo John O'Keeffe was on Dave Mc Savage's Savage Eye the other week talking about the ludicrous headlines he used to use.
Who will their next target be you say? Not the government or the banks I'd suggest.

Thread title changed, and moved from Politics.

I can understand the title change (kind of), why move it from Politcs, it is a political question.

No, it's a question about the editorial policy of a group of newspapers.

I think the media fairly represents the views of private sector workers of the public sector.
