Problem with Ticketmaster & Vicar Street

    Hi,

I am not sure if this is in the right forum so mods please move if incorrect.

I have the following issue with ticket master:

I have recently tried to buy tickets for 2 gigs in Vicar Street. These would not be hugely popular in that they sell out immediately but in each case I have logged in at 9am to get my tickets. My preference is for a seat in the balcony in one of the front blocks. The issue is that they only offer the back rows of the back blocks – how this this possible when it is one minute past the on-sale time and the front row of tables is available?

Does anyone have any idea how I can get a decent balcony ticket in Vicar Street??

    Thanks,
    Tom

from my understanding of it, tickets are sold by seat number from Front to Back, irrespective of Block. This has happened here me and my friends ahve been sitting in differnt blocks but on the same row (tickets bought online in one batch). I think it is just luck of the draw and the number of seats you want. I have gotten seats for the front blocks on either side in vicar street and pretty much every other seat at various times. I do know that for some acts (comedy ones) the first row of the centre balcony block are guest list seats.

Best advice, log on before 9am and keep pressing the refresh buttonfor the last 15seconds before 9...
A few reasons, some ticketmaster outlets will print out seated tickets.
