I put this thread in the same box as people who write letters to serial killers in prison, and eventually end up getting married to them.

What do you find attractive about him?

    The baggy eyes?
    The flab?
Or the fact he's a smug patronising *expletive deleted*?

I know Irish men are a pasty bunch, but the odds are you could probably do better.

To me he is a big burly, tall dark and handsome older man.

Phew, I'm blushing here just thinking about him.

You should be blushing. How would you feel about cleaning up the garlic every morning, and having to clean out his coffin.

LOL! my girlfriend fancies him too.. I suppose he's in pretty good shape for his age (50) and in a position of power :pac:

Somehow I think this has to merged with the Amanda Bunker thread.

I read it as Brian Cowen. So when I think of Brian Lenihan I'm not too appalled. Personally, I have a soft spot for Enda Kenny. :o

i wouldn't say that, although he looks like an older version of dermot O'Leary [especially the way his hair is arranged. i'm sure i'm not the only one to note that. [it's academemic for me as a straight male].

So AMDublin says that Brian Lenihan is attractive, and Brian Lenihan ends up in hospital two days after... I'm glad she doesnt find me attractive, lest I become another victim of the AMDublin curse.

This is her Brian Lenihan doll.

    What have you done AMDublin!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

Eeek! What did I do!

Seriously. I hope he is okay.

Maybe I should go into the hospital in my nurses outfit and take his temperature, give him a sponge bath and nurse him back to full strength ;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

From what I heard it was elective surgery, so it's something non-life threatening. Maybe it's a software upgrade to fix the "It didnt jump out at me" bug, a common problem with the Lenihan version 2.1

Obviously I am biased here, (I'm the OP!) but I think TV3's actions were shocking and a complete disgrace.

I am wondering how TV3 journalists would feel if someone deemed for them that two days was adequete time to tell their family and prepare them for the fact that they had a potentially lifethreatening disease?

If it it was affecting his decision making fine, but at the moment there is nothing going on in relation to same.

I am emailing TV3 now and would ask anyone else who agrees to do same.

His health condition is known to be reverseable.
When the average oxygenation levels of cells drops below about 60%,
    the condition can set in.

Oxygenation of the cells can be increased beyond the critical level
    via many methods.

Don't expect to learn about them from a local GP, though.

I'm confused... Why is Brian Lenihan being discussed in the Celebrity & Showbiz Forum?

He is neither. He is a politician.

    It certainly has....

However, I suppose, when one looks closely I would say, in my opinion, that Fianna Fail is a party of clowns. So Clowns = Circus & Circus = Showbiz. My Q answered then.... :pac:

Yes I think this was bizaare the way it popped up in celeb & showbiz.

Think it would have been rapidly shut down if it was in politics - even tho he is a politician.

Pancreatic cancer has a 95% fatality rate within 5 yrs does it not?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41 chrisr001

What is the story with the 5% then?
Whose advice do the 95% take, do you reckon?

    No, I wasn't speaking statistically.
If I was, it follows that the cures would be public knowledge.

I don't reckon the OP wanted to discuss politics!!!

So you have a cure for pancreatic cancer? Rite.

I asked you a question. I'm genuinely intersted in hearing what you have to say. I have studied pancreatic cancer and it's treatment in some detail but it has been a while since I looked at it. Besides possible surgery, chemo and radiation the last advance I was aware of was erlotinib (an EGFR inhibitor).

Has there been some breakthrough recently?

I don't understand the question. Some stats were quoted and you are wondering if the poster has found a cure for cancer.

Because this is complete ****e and is also implying that there is a conspiracy between GPs to hide a treatment from the patient. Some people may believe this and it is irresponsible and dangerous to post it. As expected the poster has run off and not elaborated on his bull. Unfortunately 95% of patients with pancreatic cancer are dead in 5 years.

Google it, there are thousands of reports on "oxygenation". Its complete nonsense.

If Brian Lenihan was a vampire he would be sexy just like in Twilight ;) so since he isn't, he can't be a vampire. He's just a very scary looking individual!

    No.

But it takes allsorts I suppose.

I once heard a lad say the world is like a plate of mixed fruit and veg. There are pumpkins married to melons and Pineapples married to bananas. If kellogs though that the odd fruit and nut went together well then who are we to argue.

Although I have to say bertie is a cabbage.:D
