Hi all, I have myself a gopal pna 4220 medion that I got from aldi a few years ago, in all that time it's never updated the maps when I've hooked it up to the net and the maps were not great to begin with.
I looked up getting new maps for Ireland on different sites(I don't wanna pay if I can find a free map out there) but everything I find relates to TomTom and garmin so I'm assuming I got myself the satnav equivalent of a betamax.
So my question: Do I have to find a map for my exact model and make? Is there any point in me looking at the Tomtom/Garmin maps and trying to get them to work?
I'm hopeing that theres a torrent that would have the right info, with a readme that says how to use it, or an opensource library of compatible maps.
Or should I cut my losses and just start saving up for a non aldi Satnav/gps?

    Any questions or answers?
    thanks
